Opening in August 2022 — just in time for the 2022-23 academic school year — Marion County, Florida, joins the Acceleration Academies family. As we make final preparations to the space and finish hiring a team dedicated educators, here is everything you need to know about our flexible education program:

No. 1: What is Marion County Acceleration Academies?

Marion County Acceleration Academies is a partnership program that re-engages students ages 14-21 who have withdrawn or are at risk of withdrawing from Marion County Public Schools. Our research-based, nationally accredited program is run by experienced educators and offers a blended learning model featuring individualized learning plans, web-based curriculum with in-person instruction, flexible scheduling and career/life coaching. The best part is, our program is offered at no cost to students.

No. 2: Location & facility features

Renovations are underway at our spot conveniently located in Ocala in The Cascades on Hwy. 40 at 1515 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in Suite 222. Graduation Candidates (GCs) — that’s what we call our students, by the way — will enjoy this bright and fresh space which features big beautiful windows, an on-site cafe and a large open work area that encourages GCs to move freely throughout the space, ask questions as needed and work together with their peers. A quiet study room is also available.

Marion County Acceleration Academies serves students in grades 9-12, ages 14-21.

Students and their families who are interested in learning more about Marion County Acceleration Academies can visit our website. There, you’ll be able to fill out an interest form and we will contact you once we receive it.

For school administrators who want to refer a student who has withdrawn or is determined to be at risk of withdrawing, please do so by completing the form available here. We will  work with our MCPS liaison to determine if the student is eligible for the program.

Marion County Acceleration Academies will open in Fall for the 2022-23 academic school year. Look for us in August ?.
