Real stories from real students who found their path to success at Acceleration Academies

Kahliah Beckford
Acceleration Academies allowed me to learn at my own pace, on my own terms. This freedom wasn't just practical, it was empowering. It taught me responsibility, self discipline, and how to navigate life challenges while staying true to myself. This has to be my favorite school ever. I love the teachers here, especially Mr. R. He’s the one who greets me every morning to make sure I have my goal sheet filled out."
- '24 Graduate, Carolina Shores Acceleration Academies

Christian Hernandez
At Acceleration Academies, it didn’t really feel like you were in a classroom; it felt like you were in a cafe. It created a really nice environment and because of that I was able to work at a faster pace.”
'24 Graduate, Gwinnett County Acceleration Academies

Que'vieon Preyer
My mom had a stroke, so I needed to take care of her. I needed a flexible schedule for me to be able to do the things I needed to do outside of school and still get a proper education. I found that at Acceleration Academes. I just love the way they would make sure I was inspired, motivated and on my career path."

I need someone sitting with me going through assignments because I get lost really easily. I learn differently than other students and the teachers at my old school didn’t get that. The teachers at Acceleration Academies would even stay late to help me. If you don't fit in in regular high school, make the switch to Acceleration Academies"
- '25 Graduate, Lee County Acceleration Academies

Julio Pagan & Angelina Estrada
It’s way calmer at Acceleration Academies, way quieter. You walk in the door and every kid is doing what they’re supposed to do. I can be focused on my coursework, be on task, and still be on task when it comes to my job. At my old school, the teachers would never work with you. The classes are so crowded that the teachers have to control the kids instead of focusing on work. Here, they all care about the students.”
- Currently Enrolled Students, Miami-Dade Acceleration Academies

Justin Watson & Lakisha Brown
I wanted him to have a diploma, I wanted him to have something more than a GED. Acceleration Academies had everything and more than I could have imagined. They presented themselves like ‘we’re going to be with them every step of the way.’"
- Lakisha Brown, Parent of '24 Graduate Justin Watson, Clark County Acceleration Academies
